God's Word to You is a nine-week, comprehensive course of Adult Instruction developed and used by the Rev. Ken Behnken during the last twenty years of his ministry. Coming in computer-ready format, it gives you the opportunity to edit and refine and print and use as you desire over your entire ministry. Replace the local and personal references with those from your own experience and setting and God's Word to You will belong to you and your people.
The package includes a Study Book for participants, with small graphic illustrations embedded with the text, a Teacher's Guide with both the graphic and non-graphic illustrations, Review Quizzes for each study, and -- a most helpful feature -- recommended reading assignments of Summaries of Bible and Church History that give students a historical perspective of the Christian faith and a resultant greater appreciation of what the Gospel is and does. Some students have said that reading the histories was as significant in making the Gospel clear to them as was reading the doctrinal instruction of the Study Book.
Summaries of Bible and Church History, also by Ken Behnken, are in four parts, God's People under the Old Covenant, The Fulfilled Covenant in Jesus Christ, The Apostolic and Early Church, The History of the Church, a Lutheran View. (This history of broad movements in the life of the Church concludes with the history of LC-MS or WELS.)
